Frequently asked questions about bonitos.dot

Why are payment brands talking about .PAY right now?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For point-of-sale payments, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts.

How much does it cost to pre-order an alternative to bonitos.dot?

Pre-ordering an alternative to bonitos.dot costs the standard $100 per name on domain.pay, and a failed attempt is refundable. That flat pricing makes it easy to pursue several bonitos.dot candidates at once. See pricing at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Where can I generate .PAY ideas for fraud prevention?

For fraud prevention, brainstorm short, action-oriented .PAY labels and then verify them in the domain.pay catalog/search: https://domain.pay/domains. Good candidates are clear, memorable and tied to payment actions like checkout, billing, wallet funding, payouts or invoices.

How do I interpret a premium price shown for bonitos.dot?

A premium price on bonitos.dot is the registry's wholesale figure for bonitos.dot from Amazon Registry Services, displayed instead of the standard fee, and it applies because of bonitos.dot's classification. It can change over time. Review what the bonitos.dot figure means at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What characters are allowed in a .PAY domain?

.PAY labels must follow registry label rules, including 1–63 characters, letters, numbers and hyphens, no leading or trailing hyphen, and additional IDN/reserved-name rules. Test the exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Technical validity does not guarantee availability.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
