Frequently asked questions about boingboing.dot

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names when choosing loans.pay?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

What can a streamer do with boingboing.dot on stream?

A streamer can display boingboing.dot as the address viewers use to support the channel in real time. A short, spellable .PAY name works far better on an overlay than a long shortener. Reserve it at https://domain.pay/register.

What happens if another trademark holder already registered my .PAY idea for online checkout?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Can the same label be available as boingboing.dot but taken elsewhere?

Yes — boingboing.dot can be free under .PAY as boingboing.dot even if it's registered under other extensions, because each registry, including Amazon Registry Services for .PAY, manages its own namespace. Availability for boingboing.dot is independent of other TLDs. Check boingboing.dot specifically at https://domain.pay/domains.

How much does it cost to pre-order a .PAY domain for payroll disbursements?

domain.pay lists standard .PAY pre-order service at $100 for a first-day attempt, with separate premium fees if the registry classifies the label as premium. See the current pricing here: https://domain.pay/pricing. Failed attempts are covered by the stated credit/cash-refund options.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
