Frequently asked questions about boffin.dot

For loan repayments, could I use .PAY for a wallet or payment app?

Yes. A wallet or payment app can use .PAY for a memorable payment-specific entry point. Check candidate labels through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If you own a matching trademark, consider the priority route; otherwise pre-order for broader access.

Should I secure boffin.dot in addition to my main website domain?

Yes. Your main site protects your general brand, but boffin.dot specifically protects the payment-trust layer that .PAY implies for NicNames. Holding both ensures the boffin.dot name cannot be impersonated where money changes hands. https://domain.pay/register

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for fraud prevention?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

What payment methods can I use to pre-order boffin.dot?

You can pay for a boffin.dot pre-order with the methods shown at checkout, and the charge is authorized when you place the order. If the boffin.dot attempt fails, the refund returns to that same method under our stated policy. Begin a pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Can I browse alternative .PAY names if my first choice is taken for crypto payments?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
