Frequently asked questions about bitrise.dot

Are short .PAY names always available for a donation platform?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

When is the best time to pre-order bitrise.dot for the lowest cost?

The cost of bitrise.dot is driven by the registry's tier for bitrise.dot, not by timing, so the $100 standard or premium fee applies whenever you order. Pre-ordering early mainly secures your place in the queue. Place a bitrise.dot pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments for an insurance billing portal?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Should a publisher use bitrise.dot for paywall checkout?

A publisher can route paywall subscriptions through bitrise.dot, giving readers a trusted, payment-native checkout. The clear .PAY address can ease the move from free reader to paying subscriber. Begin at https://domain.pay/register.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
