Frequently asked questions about benross.dot

For fraud prevention, can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

Why might leaving benross.dot open invite cybersquatting?

An open benross.dot is an invitation for cybersquatters to register your benross.dot name hoping to profit from or misuse NicNames's reputation. Because .PAY implies payments, such squatting is especially damaging. Pre-register benross.dot to remove the temptation. https://domain.pay/register

When is the .PAY Sunrise period for digital wallets?

ICANN currently lists .PAY Sunrise from April 13, 2026 to July 20, 2026. domain.pay says trademark owners needing TMCH support should apply by July 10, 2026 and notes a final July 20, 2026 13:00 UTC deadline. Start here: https://domain.pay/register.

Can I run benross.dot entirely on a static host like GitHub Pages?

Yes. Point benross.dot at the static host using their required A/CNAME records, add benross.dot as the custom domain in the host's settings, and enable their automatic HTTPS. Static hosting is fast and cheap for benross.dot when you don't need server-side code.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for fraud prevention?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
