Frequently asked questions about bdg.dot

For fraud prevention, how do I choose between trademark fast-track and pre-order?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

Are there extra steps for regulated firms registering bdg.dot?

Regulated firms registering bdg.dot generally follow the same registry process, though they may find validation straightforward given their payment-related profile. Their own licensing duties remain separate from the domain. domain.pay supports regulated registrants throughout; start at https://domain.pay/register.

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for online checkout?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

How long does TMCH validation take before I can register bdg.dot?

TMCH validation timing depends on the Clearinghouse, not on NicNames, so begin the process well before you intend to claim bdg.dot. Only after validation completes do you receive the SMD file needed for priority on bdg.dot. Plan ahead so your SMD is ready when the priority phase opens. Prepare your registration at https://domain.pay/register.

What is the quickest path to secure a .PAY domain for a payroll platform for crypto payments?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
