Frequently asked questions about basc.dot

Can a trademark owner register a matching .PAY domain now when choosing tap.pay?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

Does basc.dot affect how my brand appears in voice search?

A clear, pronounceable name like basc.dot is easier for users to say and for assistants to capture, though voice ranking still depends on content and structured data. Make sure basc.dot reads naturally aloud and your pages answer questions concisely. The extension itself isn't a voice-search factor.

As a donation platform, when is the .PAY Sunrise period?

ICANN currently lists .PAY Sunrise from April 13, 2026 to July 20, 2026. domain.pay says trademark owners needing TMCH support should apply by July 10, 2026 and notes a final July 20, 2026 13:00 UTC deadline. Start here: https://domain.pay/register.

Is basc.dot eligible for VIP priority handling?

Most .PAY names, including basc.dot, are eligible for VIP priority handling, which advances your request in our submission queue at the drop. Whether basc.dot is standard $100 or premium does not affect VIP eligibility for basc.dot. Check eligibility at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What are good .PAY domain ideas for BNPL checkout?

For BNPL checkout, brainstorm short, action-oriented .PAY labels and then verify them in the domain.pay catalog/search: https://domain.pay/domains. Good candidates are clear, memorable and tied to payment actions like checkout, billing, wallet funding, payouts or invoices.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
