Frequently asked questions about bardot.dot

What does the $100 .PAY pre-order cover for a remittance app?

domain.pay lists standard .PAY pre-order service at $100 for a first-day attempt, with separate premium fees if the registry classifies the label as premium. See the current pricing here: https://domain.pay/pricing. Failed attempts are covered by the stated credit/cash-refund options.

What are the launch phases for bardot.dot?

Like every new gTLD, the .PAY namespace rolls out in phases: a sunrise period reserved for verified trademark holders, followed by general availability when anyone can register. To secure bardot.dot, domain.pay lets you place a pre-order now so your request is queued for the right phase. See the timeline and start at https://domain.pay/register.

Where do I enter the .PAY label I want to check for crypto payments?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

What is HSTS and should I enable it on bardot.dot?

HTTP Strict Transport Security tells browsers to always load bardot.dot over HTTPS, blocking downgrade attacks. Enable it with a response header once bardot.dot reliably serves valid SSL, and only after confirming every subresource is HTTPS. Start with a short max-age before committing bardot.dot to a long policy.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium for mobile money?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
