Frequently asked questions about babys.dot

For fraud prevention, do I need a financial license to register a .PAY domain during LRP1?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

Can NicNames secure babys.dot as a trademark holder?

If NicNames holds a registered trademark for babys.dot, it can typically use a TMCH SMD file to claim babys.dot via trademark-priority registration before general availability. This is a common path for brand protection. domain.pay manages the process; start at https://domain.pay/register.

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for BNPL checkout?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Why is Amazon Registry Services running .PAY relevant to babys.dot?

Having an established operator like Amazon Registry Services behind .PAY means babys.dot sits on professionally run, policy-governed infrastructure. That backing supports the namespace's stability and trust. It is a reason babys.dot reads as a serious payment address.

As a checkout product manager, can a reserved .PAY name become available later?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
