Frequently asked questions about babu.dot

For online checkout, do I need a financial license to register a .PAY domain during LRP1?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing. Treat this as domain-registration guidance, not legal advice on money-transmission or financial-services licensing.

Why does the babu.dot exact match matter more than variations for babu.dot?

The exact babu.dot match in babu.dot is what customers naturally type and trust when paying NicNames, making it the highest-impact target for impersonation. Securing the exact babu.dot first delivers the most protection per dollar. https://domain.pay/register

For mobile money, what date matters most if I want a .PAY name without a trademark?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

Why might my pre-order for babu.dot not succeed?

A pre-order for babu.dot may not succeed if another applicant is allocated babu.dot, if the registry applies reserved-name or premium rules, or if priority claimants take precedence. In those cases the fee is refundable per the stated policy. Submit your pre-order for babu.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

How do I know if cloud.pay is available?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
