Frequently asked questions about apti.dot

Can .PAY be used for a branded checkout URL for fraud prevention?

subscriptions.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

What does it mean that .PAY is a payment-purpose TLD for apti.dot?

It means names like apti.dot are associated with handling payments, which gives them inherent trust but also raises anti-phishing considerations. For NicNames, that dual nature makes owning the genuine apti.dot address both valuable and necessary. https://domain.pay/

Can I use my own SMD file and pay less for a .PAY submission for fraud prevention?

If you already have a valid TMCH-issued SMD file, domain.pay lists the submission-handling path at $100 plus any applicable premium retail fee. Check the current pricing and requirements here: https://domain.pay/pricing. The SMD must match the requested .PAY label.

Will switching from a .com to apti.dot cost me SEO traffic?

A move to apti.dot only risks traffic if it's done without proper 301 redirects from every old URL to its match on apti.dot. With correct redirects, a canonical update, and a Search Console change-of-address, rankings transfer over time. Plan the migration to apti.dot carefully and monitor results.

How do I know if subscriptions.pay is available when choosing subscriptions.pay?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
