Frequently asked questions about announcer.dot

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later for digital wallets?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

What happens to my payment if announcer.dot is never released?

If announcer.dot is never released by the registry, your pre-order attempt is treated as failed and is refundable under our stated policy. You are not charged for a name that does not become available. Read how this works for announcer.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later when choosing subscriptions.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

What problem does announcer.dot solve for online sellers?

announcer.dot gives online sellers a dedicated, easy-to-share address for collecting money instead of a buried checkout page. It reduces friction by making the payment URL obvious and brandable as announcer.dot. Sellers can pre-order announcer.dot at /register.

As a bank or credit union, what happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
