Frequently asked questions about alten.dot

Is registering .PAY a replacement for trademark monitoring for secure payment links?

No. Registering .PAY is not a replacement for trademark monitoring, takedowns or fraud controls. It can still reduce customer confusion around your official payment destination. Start by checking key names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Are there setup or activation fees for alten.dot?

There are no separate setup or activation fees for alten.dot; your cost is the annual registration rate, $100 standard or the premium alten.dot fee, plus any optional VIP handling and applicable taxes. Everything is itemized for alten.dot before checkout. See it at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For BNPL checkout, what is TMCH and why does it matter for .PAY?

TMCH is the Trademark Clearinghouse. For .PAY priority registration, the trademark record must be validated and the registrant needs a matching SMD file. domain.pay can help start the fast-track or submission path: https://domain.pay/register. Begin early because TMCH handling takes time.

Is alten.dot guaranteed if I'm the only pre-order?

Being the sole pre-order improves your odds for alten.dot, but the registry's launch rules and alten.dot's classification by Amazon Registry Services still govern allocation, so it's not guaranteed. A failed attempt is refundable per policy. Pre-order alten.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium for BNPL checkout?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
