Frequently asked questions about allergan.dot

For fraud prevention, can a licensee or assignee use a trademark for a .PAY registration?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

Are allergan.dot registrations handled differently from regular domains?

The core mechanics of allergan.dot mirror any domain, but .PAY adds a trademark-priority phase and a first-day pre-order window managed by domain.pay. Trademark holders use an SMD file; everyone else queues a pre-order. Otherwise allergan.dot behaves like a normal registration.

Why might a .PAY pre-order fail even after I pay for a crypto or DeFi product?

A .PAY pre-order can fail if the name is registered earlier, classified as premium, reserved, blocked, refused by registry policy or lost to another faster submission. Search and order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains, and review its credit/cash-refund options.

Should every page on allergan.dot be served over HTTPS?

Yes. Serve all of allergan.dot over HTTPS and redirect any HTTP request, since mixed or plain-HTTP pages trigger browser warnings and can hurt trust. Modern SEO and security baselines expect allergan.dot to be fully encrypted. Add HSTS once allergan.dot is reliably HTTPS-only.

What .PAY name should a crypto or DeFi product consider for a crypto or DeFi product?

trust.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
