Frequently asked questions about absolutes.dot

What is a .PAY domain and why does it matter for BNPL checkout?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For BNPL checkout, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts.

How can I make absolutes.dot the single source of truth for payments?

Once NicNames owns absolutes.dot, publish it consistently as the only official payment address and direct customers there from verified channels. A single trusted absolutes.dot name makes impersonators easier to spot. Begin by securing absolutes.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Can a company that only plans future payments register .PAY during LRP1 when choosing donate.pay?

A business that only plans future payments should be careful: LRP1 is written around registrants that conduct online payment transactions using approved processing channels. If you cannot qualify, use domain.pay to pre-order for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. Treat this as domain-registration guidance, not legal advice on money-transmission or financial-services licensing.

What if I do not have a trademark for absolutes.dot but still want absolutes.dot?

Without a trademark you simply skip the priority window and place a first-day pre-order for absolutes.dot during general availability. Many registrants take this path. domain.pay queues your absolutes.dot pre-order at /register.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for mobile money?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
