Frequently asked questions about 9muses.dot

How should a regulated fintech think about .PAY and financial licensing for digital wallets?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

How do I make sure my SMD matches the exact label in 9muses.dot?

Open your TMCH record to see the validated mark text, then compare it against the 9muses.dot string in 9muses.dot character by character before submitting. NicNames only grants priority when the SMD-encoded mark matches that label for 9muses.dot. A mismatch routes you to standard pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

How do I register donate.pay if it matches my trademark for a payroll platform?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

Can a marketplace platform register 9muses.dot?

A marketplace that handles payments or checkout can often register 9muses.dot, since such use fits the .PAY namespace's payment focus. The registry may validate the specific intended use. domain.pay can help a marketplace secure 9muses.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

What .PAY name should an event ticketing business consider for online checkout?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
